There are eight principles within the DPA, the seventh of which states that a data controller must take appropriate security measures against unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data and against accidental loss, destruction of, or damage to, personal data.

All confidential waste is handled in compliance with BS EN 15713 (formerly BS 8470): staff are comprehensively vetted to BS7858 and our secure vehicles are locked at all times and have in-built GPS tracking. Confidential waste is transported directly to our secure shredding facility (BSIA member) that is patrolled by security staff and monitored by CCTV in accordance with BS 7499.
