17.06.2011: Recycling company, Paper Round, won a top prize at Wednesday’s prestigious Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) Environmental Leadership Awards ceremony in London. The company won the SME Premier Award for its comprehensive environmental management system (EMS). Results included a 92% recycling rate, 100% diversion of waste from landfill and a reduction in electricity use at its warehouse by 30%.... Read full article

22.03.11: We are proud to announce our new partnership with the textile recycling charity TRAID.
TRAID campaigns against inequality and exploitation in the global textile supply chain. It diverts clothes from landfill using a network of 900 textile recycling banks. Since 1st February Paper Round has been working with TRAID to empty their banks across London and Brighton with the help of eight new members of staff and six new vans.

16.02.11: We are delighted to announce that Paper Round is taking on the commercial recycling department of Magpie Recycling, a long standing recycling co-op in Brighton. Together we will be able to offer Brighton businesses an improved service, more frequent collections and new waste stream collections such as food waste.

23.02.10: Paper Round client Waterloo Quarter won Best Green Business at the Lambeth Business Awards last night, for our recycling scheme. The scheme has been a huge success and has helped to significantly improve the environmental performance of the Waterloo area.

18.02.10: Paper Round wins best Environmental Management in SMEs at the Sustainable City Awards. Dubbed the 'Green Oscars', the awards recognise and reward businesses for their excellent achievements in all areas of sustainable business development. Accepting the award Director Bill Swan said, "We try to set an example of best practice and show that business and sustainability are not only compatible but can also make an organisation more competitive. It's great for our hard work to be recognised."

01.11 2009: Threadneedle Assest Managemnet have selected Carbon Smart to calculate their London Headquaters carbon footprint and benchmark results against last year's performance.
