Zero to Landfill Waste Management
We achieve an average material recycling rate of 65% with our clients, with a best case of 95%. This still leaves 5-35% of waste that cannot be economically recycled.
BPR Group therefore takes all the residual waste it collects to a modern energy-from-waste plant. Nothing is sent to landfill where it could decompose and contribute to climate change .
Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities release the remaining energy from waste as heat. The heat produced generates electricity for the National Grid. The plant we deliver to in South East London generates enough electricity to power 48,000 homes. Read more details.
